Teton Verse II

Join us for an evening of poetry reading and open mic at the bookstore! We are gathering poets from Jackson Hole to share their poetry and encourage others to step up to the mic. All are welcome.

Poets throughout the valley will gather at 5 p.m. Monday, April 25, to share their work in the second installment of Teton Verse, an evening of poetry co-hosted by Jackson Hole Writers and Jackson Hole Book Trader. The event will take place at the Jackson Hole Book Trader, located in the Powderhorn Mall, 970 West Broadway, Jackson, Wyoming.

Similar to the first Teton Verse, held in February 2020, the event will include scheduled time for local poets and an open mic for guests to share their work.

In addition, two local poets will be given the stage to highlight their recently released poetry collections: Betsy Orient Bernfeld, who published The Cathedral Is Burning through Finishing Line Press last summer, and Christine Stevens, who released The Nature Sutras through Upbeat Drum Circles earlier this year. Both poets will be available throughout the evening to sign copies of their collections.

Anyone interested in reading their own poetry should contact Matt Daly with Jackson Hole Writers to be added to the reading schedule. Time is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who prefer reading or reciting via open mic, simply introduce yourself that evening. All are welcome to this free event. Light refreshments to be served.
